Bedtimes and Broomsticks by Amanda A Allen book Review
This is a story about a mother named Scarlett who returns to the place where she grew up with her 2 daughters. While settling down into a new home a murder happens not far from where she lives and someone puts a hex on one of her daughters. She teams up with a private investigator and her best friend to find out who did the murder and hexed her daughter. There is a lot of questions and distrust between all involved to solve this mystery.
I love how this book was written and how the characters were developed. I like how you get to know the characters as the story is progressing and that there is not this long narrative for character development. I loved how the story flowed and kept me wanting to read more to find out what happens next. I look forward to reading more novels by the author.

Dragon and Phoenix by Joanne Bertin book review
This book tells two different stories within one story. One story is about a group of Dragonlords that find out that an ancient Dragonlord has been imprisoned in a country that their country has been at war with for years. These Lords come up with a plan to free this Lord without letting the mage priest of the Phoenix know. They travel to this country and attempt to release the Dragonlord from his prison but are met with a lot of dangers on the way. The other story is the story of a concubine to the Emperor of the Phoenix. She has been the only one to bear children to the emperor. She wants to be the Empress and makes plans on how to do that. She is very intelligent and comes up with a plan on how to do that. These stories soon intertwine and come together to where both is hopefully get what each want.
This story starts out a little slow but then really picks up in the middle and the end. I love how the story jumps to different characters and what is going on to those characters at the same time. I really like how the characters are written and how the story flows. I can hardly wait to read more from this author.

Troublemaker: Surviving Hollywood and Scientology by Leah Remini Book Review
This book is told by actress Leah Remini from the TV show The King Of Queens. It talks about her life growing up and when her mother joined the Church of Scientology. How she and her family then joined also and what she went through while she was there. She also talks about how while in the church she started her acting career and that how she noticed how people who she thought were her friends would then betray her and get her in trouble at the church. And what really made her open her eyes and make her leave the church and the repercussions that she is now going through with the church.
I really liked this book and found it interesting. It shows what she was seeing while she was in the church that no one sees. I love how the book is written and that I couldn't put the book down until I was done.
