Born of Fire by A.L. Knorr

This is about a girl named Saxony who is hired by a family to be their au pair.  She is in charge of watching 2 boys.  One of which seems to be sick all the time.  It isn't until an incident where the child runs a fever that she realizes that the child is not what he seems.  Then one day she and the child get stuck in a burning building and the child passes on his powers onto her.  She is able to put the fire out and save everyone in the building.  She then learns from the child's mother that she is now a magi of fire and that she needs to learn quickly to control it or that it will kill her.  There are also people out there that want her to work for them and that she has to pick wisely who to trust.
I really like this book and look forward to reading more from the author.  I love how really well the characters were written and how they interact with each other.  I loved how the story was written and how it flows.
