Ghost in the Machine by Patrick Carman

This book is a good young adult book that incorporates technology in with the reading experience.  It is different from how you read other books.  Throughout the book you are told to go to a website that has a password that you use that is in the book and you watch a short little video that goes along with the book.  The person that made the book actually has actors in the videos act out what the main character is writing about in the book.
The book is more like a journal that is being written by a teenager named Ryan.  Through out the book he is writing about a secret society called the Crossbones and about a building called the Dredge.  The Dredge is being torn down but there are a lot of secrets that have happened on it and Ryan and his Friend Sarah are trying to figure it out.  While trying to figure out the mystery of the Dredge they are chased by what they feel is the ghost of one of the workmen that died on the Dredge.
What I really liked about the book was that at certain times there would be a website that you would have to go to and a password that you would have to put in.  After you put the password in it would show a short little video of actors playing the characters that Ryan is writing about in his journal.  I love doing that and seeing how we are so into technology I love how the author incorporated it into the book.
I highly recommend this to any mystery fanatic, young adult book reader, and teenager that loves to read.  I believe that with the reading and being able to go online and see the videos.  I really like reading this book and look forward to more books following this type of way of keeping readers interested in books.
